PSY 1010 - Course Evaluations

personal engagement ... critical thinking ... genuine rapport

These buttons link to course evaluations for PSY 1010 sections that I have taught since my promotion to Associate Professor. I taught two sections of PSY 1010 myself and I supervised graduate student instruction for two other sections in Spring 2019.

I have learned a lot in this class. It has made more aware of the studies done on the human condition and our behaviors. It is truly remarkable what the human mind can learn and how it applies it to the world around us. I also have gained the groundwork for psychology which will be helpful for preparing for the MCAT which has recently added a psychology and sociology section to the test.
I really appreciated the personal way in which you related to the material by giving examples from your life. I also enjoyed the videos throughout the lectures. I found the online quiz’s to be quite helpful as well.
I think the professor does and excellent job engaging us students and encouraging involvement in our own education. It makes it a lot easier (and fun) to learn this way. Overall very satisfied.
The video modules and supplemental videos were very helpful. Because this was an online course it was much easier to understand with the videos. Other online classes you just have a bunch of power points and I think the videos helped me stay engaged with the notes.
