Course Evaluation summary

I have receive consistent feedback from my students, graduate student observers, and my peers, that my classes are highly engaging, they encourage critical thinking, and that the genuine rapport I establish with my students encourages learning.

Students appreciate the variety of methods I employ in class and many students also highlight that weekly quizzes (administered through Canvas or in-class for PSY 1010, 2230, 3120, 3140, 3180, 4120), mini-lab experiences (PSY 3140), interactive activities (PSY 2230, 3120, 3180, 4120) and weekly reflective analysis papers (PSY 4120, 5950, 5960) help them to master the material.

My course evaluations indicate that students notice evidence of my teaching philosophy in their courses.  When students provide feedback like, “[she] provides a comfortable atmosphere that encourages participation and learning” and “[she is] driven to make sure that each student learns and has fun doing it.” I feel particularly gratified that my efforts are not only appreciated but that they are also effective in helping students learn and engage.
